How to make balloon dog


Materials: a balloon; an air pump and a permanent marker.

Inflate a balloon leaving a five—inch flat tail (Pic 1).

The first bubble you twist to make the nose. Twist the first soft one—inch bubble (Pic 2).

Lock both ends of the first bubble in one lock twist (Pic 3). This step is marked with arrows between points A and B on the scheme.

The next three bubbles you fold in the bird body twist to make the muzzle of the dog. Twist the second three—inch bubble (Pic 4).

Twist the third three—inch bubble (Pic 5).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last two (the second and the third) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 6). This step is marked with arrows between points B and D on the scheme.

Twist the fourth three—inch bubble (Pic 7).

Lock the free end (point E on the scheme) of the fourth bubble between the second and the third bubble (Pic 8). You have to roll the second and the third bubble around the fourth bubble. This step is marked with arrows between points E and C on the scheme. You have made the bird body twist.

Twist the fifth four—inch bubble (Pic 9).

Lock both ends of the fifth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 10). This step is marked with arrows between points E and F on the scheme.

Twist the sixth four—inch bubble (Pic 11).

Lock both ends of the sixth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 12 through 14). This step is marked with arrows between points G and H on the scheme. You have made the cheeks.



The next bubble you twist to make an eye. Twist the seventh three—inch bubble (Pic 15).

Twist the eighth soft one—inch bubble (Pic 16).

Lock both ends of the eighth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 17). This step is marked with arrows between points H and I on the scheme. The eighth bubble helps to keep the ears in proper positions.

The next two bubbles you twist to make the ears. Twist the ninth five—inch bubble (Pic 18).

Lock both ends of the ninth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 19). This step is marked with arrows between points I and J on the scheme.

Twist the tenth five—inch bubble (Pic 20).

Lock both ends of the tenth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 21). This step is marked with arrows between points J and K on the scheme.

The next bubble you twist to make the second eye. Twist the eleventh three—inch bubble (Pic 22).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last five (the seventh through the eleventh) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 23 through 27). This step is marked with arrows between points L and G on the scheme. The rest of the balloon is the twelfth bubble. It is the neck of the dog. Fix all bubbles in proper positions.





Use a permanent marker to draw the face of the dog (Pic 28 and 29). Congratulations, you have made the head of the dog.


You can attach the head to different bodies or hatsTwist the thirteenth one—inch bubble at the end of the twelfth bubble to attach the head to a body (Pic 30).

Lock the free end of the thirteenth bubble of the head between the front legs of the body (Pic 31 through 34).




Or attach the head of the dog to a hat (Pic 35 through 37). Have fun and happy twisting :)
